We have an opportunity to serve the small children  in our church as a Nursery Coordinator! Christian Ed is looking for an individual that has an understanding in Nursery Care as well as the abilities to coordinate worker schedules. If you have any interest or questions about being a Nursery Coordinator please contact the Christian Ed Committee (Bob D, Sarah N. or Lacey). Christian Ed is temporarily assuming all Nursery Coordinator duties.

The youth group will be going to the Rend Collective concert on November 2nd in Omaha.  Since there is no school on that Friday we will plan to leave from church at 2:30 so we can eat before the concert.  We should be home around 11 pm.  The cost is $18.00  Thus far we have 21 people planning on going.  If any parents would like to come or meet up at the concert,  please let Pastor Crale know.

A prayer update is printed every other week and placed in mailboxes.  Please call the church office if you would like our church family to pray for your specific needs.  We can also send out an immediate all-church e-mail for urgent prayer needs.  To protect privacy and accuracy, requests must come directly from the person or family involved.

All –church Thanksgiving dinner     November 18     5:30 p.m.

Parenting a child is one of the most rewarding, and challenging, activities of life. Parenting is also one of the most important activities. Unfortunately, there are hundreds of kids in our own state that do not have families. Grace Children’s Home will be providing State of Nebraska approved Foster Care licensing classes beginning at 7:00 PM, Tuesday, November 27, 2018. Obtaining a license does not require a commitment to host children. There are lots of ways you can support foster care. There is no cost to attend this training. For more information, or to enroll, please contact Grace Children’s Home at 402-723-5725, or email Mark Danielson, Executive Director at

Psalm 23:1  “The LORD is my shepherd.”

But who is the Lord?  What is His character?  Does He have adequate credentials to be my Shepherd—my manager—my owner?  And if He does, how do I come under His control?  In what way do I become the object of His concern and diligent care?  Jesus declared “I am the good shepherd”.  But who was this Christ?  Our view of him is often too small—too human.  And because it is, we feel unwilling to allow Him to have authority or control—much less outright ownership of our lives.  If we pause to reflect on the person of Christ—on His power and His achievements—suddenly like David we will be glad to state proudly, “the Lord—He is my Shepherd!”
